[NetEase Home] Can you briefly tell us about your growth (designer career) experience? Was there a difficult stage of depression? How did you get through it at that time? What wealth did that stage leave for you now?
[Lei Jiangyi]: I have been designing for 9 years. From an intern designer to a project designer, I feel that design is a process of self-accumulation. During this process, I also slowly learned how to get along better with the owners and use my professional knowledge to satisfy both parties.
The depressed stage should be 4-5 years after designing, because people will suffer from aesthetic fatigue when they are in a certain state for a long time, and designers are no exception. That experience made me understand that people cannot rest on their laurels and must constantly discover and improve themselves to gain value.

[NetEase Home] What do you think are the differences between Hangzhou’s design compared to other cities across the country that have outstanding design performance?
[Lei Jiangyi]: The soil and water support the people. The traditional cultural heritage makes people in Jiangsu and Zhejiang more receptive to the diversity of interior design styles. This also provides designers with a design environment where they can give full play to themselves. so iI quite like the city of Hangzhou.

[Lei Jiangyi]: In my opinion, the "new design youth" can quickly digest and apply popular materials or style evolution, and the "new youth" in the 5G era can more quickly Understand the popular trends or trends of modern people, which will influence us to make works that are closer to the favorites of young owners.

[NetEase Home] In your opinion, what qualities should a good designer have?
[Lei Jiangyi]: A designer once said that if you have not experienced it, you will not understand the value and rationality of those spaces, and then the things you design will be meaningless. Therefore, I think designers should experience life more. Careful observation and thinking about life in daily life should be the first basic element of success for every designer.

[NetEase Home] What are the criteria for selecting home products and building materials in actual work so that they can better demonstrate the expressiveness of their works?
[Lei Jiangyi]: When it comes to materials, I will pay more attention to the quality and environmental protection of the product, as well as its plasticity. For the owner, this house may last a lifetime, so every product used in this house must be polished over time and remain safe and reliable after the owner uses it for many years.

[Lei Jiangyi]: I think no one can understand the future design trends, but we can do a good job in the "now" and make the "now" meet the needs of future development. Design is constantly iterating and changing, but more importantly, people's needs have changed. Designers can only cope with future design development if they meet the requirements well.

When it comes to future plans, Lei Jiangyi did not reveal too many ambitions. In his opinion, his future is more about growing with the company, and he will continue to serve every owner with heart. I believe we will see more of his works in the near future.
